Liberty Mtn. Morabs who have done it!

As our Morab *babies* are growing up, we are seeing more and more of them starting to become more accomplished. Some of them are enrolled in the Lifetime Achievement Awards Program in the International Morab Breeder's Association. We will be using this page to feature those Liberty Mtn. Morabs who earn their medals in the different categories available. This is something that takes years to attain, and those who are now making the medal levels are some of the first in the breed to do so. We congratulate our Liberty Mtn. Morab winners of the LAAP Awards!!

NEWS FLASH UPDATE AUGUST 25, 2003!! Starting in 2004, Liberty Mtn. Ranch will be awarding at the end of each year, a cash prize to the highest scoring LM Morab in the LAAP! Another reason for you to own a Liberty Mtn. Morab!

We congratulate Paula and LM Ark-Three Smokey +GA of Missouri on being one of the very first Morabs in the breed to earn the Gold Medal Award Level! They largely did this in the trails category. Paula and Smokey are inseparable friends, and he's willing to do anything Paula wants. The bond they share is very special. After almost losing Smokey to a bad case of founder, Paula is delighted and relieved to be back on the trails with her partner and his newly grown feet.

A new and higher awards level has now been put in place - and Paula and Smokey are working on being one of the first to reach that, too...if not *the* first!

We are so pleased to announce Liberty Mtn.'s latest medal winner, LM Run Joselle +BA! This 15 hand mare and her owner, Amy, in Virginia are involved in a variety of equine endeavors...dressage, fox hunting, trail riding, endurance racing, competitive trail. Like Smokey, Joselle is a grandbaby of our foundation mare, Trinket. How does Amy like her Morab? In her words, "Don't EVEN ask if she is for sale!" That's what we like to hear here at Liberty Mtn. Ranch.

Joselle is pictured here winning Champion Weanling at the 1993 IMBA Region D Morab Futurity. She went on to win Champion Two Year Old Morab at the 1995 IMBA Region C Morab Futurity - the only registered Morab to win a Morab Futurity class in more than one region. Now, she can add a Bronze Medal to her list of awards, and she is over half way to the Silver Medal already, too!

Several more Liberty Mtn. Morabs are now enrolled in the LAAP, including LM Mystery's Stellar Debutante, LM Mystery Lady, LM Sparkling Radiance, LM Sky King (pictured at left), LM Classic Cadence, LM Classic Debut, LM Sparkling Duet, and LM Denali Diamond. More are in the process of being enrolled, as well. It's only a matter of time before we have our next Medalist to feature here...who will it be?
